Mineral rights can be lucrative.

The only time this happens if there's minerals on the land that the owner doesn't know about (for instance).  

The minerals are sold and leased already, so I do not own the minerals.

It almost feels like we are the last miners in the gold rush to show up. 

They have this right for 180 days or for 2 years if it is a homestead, has an agricultural exemption or is a severed mineral right. 

For example, in Canada the government owns most of the minerals and resources in the ground even if you own the land.

I have e-mails and calls from an individual that claims to own a mineral operation in Croatia.

There are also some lease scams going as well, an old lady in Dallas buys oil rights just before RE closings and the buyer thinks they get them, there's a suit going now as title insurance doesn't insure mineral rights in TX according to the attorney.

But so thankful we all have the choice to make our lives better.Current house needs some paint, miner updates, mostly cosmetic. 

But at the same time you can find many great deals within the DFW...you just have to become a great gold miner..best of luck to ya
