I have a 4 unit building in Long Beach CA and looking for alternative rental property insurance companies. 

We vacation there regularly:  Dauphin Island - 2017, Orange Beach - 2022, Gulf Shores - 2023, Fort Morgan - upcoming 2024.My guess is that Dauphin Island doesn't see the same appreciation as Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and places eastward. 

Hopefully someone else on here has some first-hand experienceLove the Oregon coast btw … saw the ocean for my first time in Canon Beach many moons ago.

Does anyone have additional information on buying from auction sites and/or living in the Broward/Palm Beach counties and willing to mentor a newer investor on the process?

CA by the beach with wife and 3 kids worth working for.

There are 2 main submarkets.1) Pinellas County Beaches - Target demographic is families, and families mean kids who go crazy for a pool. 

Ideally I would try to get a 3/4 unit property somewhere in DC proper, PG County or Montgomery County (Takoma Park/Silver Spring), live in one unit and rent out the others.
