Here in NYC Chinese investors are buying commercial and residential Manhattan properties with Cash!  

In my opinion, sending letters/postcards to PF, are largely going to be a waste of time.

I'm a wannabe investor, and about to sign up for an online course to get my real estate license in New York — I live in Manhattan.

A bit of a blip during the financial crisis in very expensive areas (I watched it happen in Manhattan), but that quickly corrected itself as it had more to do with the over-heated market leading up to it.In most areas rents were flat or actually went up.

If I were you, I would buy a condo in the city, preferably 1 bedroom in Manhattan. 

Not everyone gets to live in Malibu, CA or Manhattan.
