I don't want to bore people with a lengthy letter or message, however, I have seen way too many "Your house for cash!"

Is there a lengthy review process for permits in that area? 

Probate can be complicated and it can be a lengthy process.

Appreciate all the replies, sounds like a lengthy and very involved process, I think I should deal with it after my travel.

But if you have an LLC, and nothing else to show up as your assets (because you used land trusts to give you a layer of anonymity and a simple search is not revealing you are owning many other juicy assets) an ambulance chasing lawyer working on contingency will see a small target on your back and hard to get proceeds from victory in a lengthy lawsuit and move onto easier paydays. 

I guess what I'm trying to say is that lawsuits are lengthy and complicated.

Rent is generally the biggest monthly expense for most renters in the United States, however, when rent is paid on time, traditionally it isn't taken into account unless a landlord has proceeded through the lengthy process of reporting negative payment history (and even then there are still some restrictions). 

I just was concerned with the time frame to market this one as I've never dealt with a short sale or a lengthy time to close.

The purchase of the property will be approximately $1mm, but the rehab will be a bit more lengthy process and it makes no sense to us to put up this amount if we are being handed it back anyway and not receiving interest during that period.
