I've been working for a boutique real estate development & property management company for the past two years, leading resident engagement.

There are also a lot of good creative financing options in the hotel/resort world as the "boutique hotel" concept starts to become more popular amongst STR investors. 

Thanks for the insights @Shawn Mcenteer I tend to agree that KW is pretty "cookie cutter" the only reason I'm here honestly is because I like my team lead, but the long term goal is to get enough transactions to get my own brokers license and then get out into my own boutique shop.

They are two blocks from Whole Foods, SoulCycle, and a number of coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques. 

I've toyed around with the idea of doing a value-add/BRRRR boutique hotel and doing STR for that, but the numbers just don't make sense in Nashville/middle TN (right now).

Do you prefer big brand hotels or boutique hotels and why?
