I believe you still have to live there for a year after work has been completed, maybe a year after close is all with 6 months to finish the work. 

A lot of the projects that are going on here aren't finished yet and new projects and developments are popping up all the time.

The rep said only Kohler can install their products and they do nothing else which means she is on her own to find another contractor to finish the remodel.

Hi Alexa, I just finished up our project with an interior designer from Thumback!

After construction is finished, the entire property (with the residence) will be appraised and I can roll my land loan and construction loan together into 1 mortgage.

I'll have to figure out how to just finish my taxes for 2020, and see what ratio the CPA says and then follow up with the Assessor.

We will also finish up some renovation on our owner occupied house and pull a HELOC for an emergency fund and possible rental purchase fund.What are you looking to do, @Kristie Laufer? 

My original plan was to cash out refinance at the end of the project but we need additional funds to finish like I previously stated.  

As mentioned above, the builder is just going to complete any necessary corrective work as part of their pre-close punchlist.Here is an exact quote from one of my builders (49-unit townhome project) from a couple of weeks ago on the topic of third-party inspections:"•We will solve items that fall under the category of our Fit and Finish Warranty or any life-safety issues •Cosmetic or "recommended" items from the inspector may not be considered and are subject to Builder review and discretion."
