Is the cost of business in the Bay Area almost 3 times what it is elsewhere?

I have lived in this area and owned in the Bay View neighborhood also and I think the right product in this location could produce similar rents as the 'hipster' Bay View location.

I obviously don't know squat about tenants rights in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, but I'm going to guess that if we can find ways around the tenants rights stuff in the Bay Area, there will also be ways around it for you in Wisconsin. :)

ALL RE is cyclic and Calif is typically an 8-9 cycle, especially in the most desirable areas like SF Bay area, Orange County.  2008 was a major down turn due to the mortgage industry collapse, not true property values. 

@Benjamin Molina Sacramento is getting pretty hot right now especially with the arena nearing completion, and the close vicinity to the Bay.  

Real estate in the Bay Area is expensive for a reason compared to cheap RE elsewhere.
