New REI near San Francisco

Hello everybody my name is Didier Jacob Macias. I am a 23-year-old male looking to enter the Giant world of Real estate. As you can see I have just joined Bigger Pockets and am introducing myself. I have ZERO experience in anything real estate, but that's going to change real soon. I am from the San Francisco area of California (does not mean I'm in SF but I'm very near). In the past I have worked various jobs from warehouse jobs, to teacher's assistant in a high school, to even a mechanic apprentice. I have come to realize that working 40 hours a week with low pay will not allow me to live the life I want to live. The type of Investing that interest me the most would be wholesale, fix and flip, and maybe in the future rental properties. I understand that real estate is a lot of work and currently I don't have the education for it, so I took it upon myself to do some research and found Bigger Pockets. I have never watched those flipping shows because as they may show that you can flip a house and make money to me it's just too scripted and too fake. After I finish reading the Ultimate Guide to REI from BP I plan on finding mentors to help me further my education even if it means relocating to a different place. I thank you for reading my story and hope to make many connections, possible business partners, and even new friends in this new journey.
