Legally, it would be safest to keep all application questions uniform so there's an easy defense if and when the discrimination accusation rear its ugly head.

I want a system in place so it's all uniform and looks professional to the tenants even if it's not lol.

Notes can vary in language and thus have some degree of variance in legal enforcement but there are uniform state and federal bodies of law surrounding those ideas.

Marco-Yes, I learned to mitigate this risk, by making sure I paint all the assets I own in the same uniform color throughout.

These actions are not uniform across states, and neither are the barment requirements.
