This is a classic bureaucratic strategy played out over and over and over again across the country by legislators that refuse to live within budget constraints that the rest of us must live by.

It is uncertain when COVID will end, but what is true is that it will change the way we travel once and for all.Cleanliness, social distancing, and cancellation policy will be the top features travelers will consider as essential when booking a Short Term Rental.

Unfortunately the few bad tenants are the ones we generally hear about, not the multitude of good ones...like I myself was for my LL.So I'm sure there will be impacts, and I'm sure there will be bad actors, but legislation like this doesn't suddenly overnight create an implosion in an entire industry.

Historically plenty of tourism, STVR are the norm and aren't likely to be capped or deal with new legislation, obviously subject to the occasional hurricane.

I told them in no uncertain terms that I would place the house on the market, sell it, do an Exchange, and find another lender if they did not allow me to self-pay the taxes and insurance.
