I could take a permanent position but the idea of settling into my current profession for 40-50 hours/week for the next 40 years is soul crushing.

@Chris BreezyI guess its too late for woulda, coulda, shoulda,but in reality it would have been nice if I had people in my circle that would have taught me about capital and how it workedI cant say I have any regrets, I was able to travel, learn a trade and make some mistakesI never had anybody to help me with soul searching and following my dreamsso the only thing I could suggest is to do just thatknow what your dreams are, search your soul and see what you really want out of life never surround yourself with people who do not respect your dreams and your pursuits in lifeenjoy

Often, just asking to schedule a visit can tell you a lot about a company, so it can be a good litmus test.Sounds like you have some soul searching to do to determine what your priorities are with regard to day-to-day control over the investment and time / energy allocation.

Other than those who posted on this thread, I don't know a soul or really anything about Indianapolis, where I'm going to stay or how to accomplish what I'm setting out to do.
