I was doing some research and running the numbers is slightly different on the cost side:Insurance is likely more expensive for STRPM is way more (and I'd feel uncomfortable with most people doing this)Operating expenses for a hotelExtra CapEx for furnishingsUtilitiesThe revenue side seems really tricky and if someone can nail this down I'd love to hear their thoughts.

@Ashish Acharya nails the tax free proration issue as usual.

Vinyl plank properly installed needs 0 nails, hammering, glue, etc., and should have 1/4" of gap hidden under the wall trim on both sides.I DO NOT ADVOCATE long term AIRBNB / STR unless you're in a luxury market / major city where you are a hotel equivalent.

And, document any and all property preservation money you spend.

Usually once a house is abandoned and in foreclosure, a preservation company applies the orange stickers saying this house has been winterized or has lock changes, etc.

If you nail those down, and are willing to hustle, you'll be very successful

No one can answer that without knowing the ARV and repairs, neither of which you’ve definitively stated or nailed down
