The finishes were simple, and the owners took many steps to keep the costs as low as possible: the owners found bath cabinets, doors, and sinks from Habitat for Humanity, bathroom floor tile in Mexico, kitchen cabinets  from IKEA, wood kitchen counter tops from Floor and Decor, and the wood floors were made of A-C Plywood sheets.  

Or worse when it's pet (or human) accidents.

My go-to spots have been Home Depot and Lowes, Oakland's Habitat for Humanity, Sincere Hardware and San Leandro Granite for granite for kitchen countertops. 

Also be as organized as humanly possible if they have to search for where you derived your estimates you will be less lilkely to get the loan.
