One of the common themes is that there may be a discrepancy between the asking price and the appraised value(possibly higher)  Sometimes, this may push a 20% down payment into a 30-40% down payment because a bank will only lend 80% of the appraised value.

You should NOT blame the SEC, WSJ, or Hays Consulting - they are trying to do the right thing, whether it is reporting the story, bringing the culprits to justice or taking control of what assets are left to return to the investors.I did my due diligence on Pinnacle after recieving their initial investment package and after 3 minutes of research online, I found numerous discrepancies and red flags.
