I am looking to use the property as a short-term AirBnB rental property and see potential revenue streams sometime during this 6 month period.However, the condominum needs a carpet removed, 11x14 (approximate) laminated wood flooring, painting, new countertops, and some finishing work.

I recently purchased a house in Hamilton, Ontario.Going to convert single (bungalow) to duplex.Would it be possible to advise if there is anything in below that you think is unnecessary for our investment purpose:Ground Floor:- Has all original items but painted- existing old wood floor (narrow wd strips)- existing laminate countertop with old painted cabinets- existing painted base boards- washrooms fixtures are working fine - painted old vanity cabinetShould I leave all items above leave as is?

I did hickory hardwood floors, new countertops, new stainless steel appliances, Oak furniture (still bought at yardsales), very nice bed spreads, walk in shower with nice tiling, etc.

If I find a house that is identical to mine, except for flooring and countertops, then I want to update the countertops, how would I know how much of the price differential comes from countertops versus flooring?
