First you are correct this is a business not a charity or non profit or community service, save community and charity work for the part of you life that you have dedicated to those causes, which by the way is a must if you want to be a complete self actualize person.

And being a landlord is business.. just like when everyone gets on her and says they are not running a charity they are running a business.. well there you go protect your business.. cant have it both ways.land lording no different.. as a property owner or landlord its incumbent on that owner to plan for how they are going to maneuver through tough times.

Once you apprentice in these occupations and become that top tier your business activities income will give you the means to do what your talking about  travel the world  buy a sail boat  buy an airplane take tons of time with family ( for me start a charity )  or just hang out on BP LOL.

I was never in the Military as you probably recall though I put together a charity with a few other BP members called Aheroshome.org and we gave away a fully rehabbed home in Memphis that Chris Clothier did all the work on and we know the quality of his rehabs etc.
