Read TIME magazine Oct 19, 2009 "Why it's time to retire the 401(k)".Consider a Golden Goose that lays eggs forever (real estate), tax-free and/or tax-deferred forever OR a Golden Egg (401k) that is taxed at ordinary tax rates, is subject to volatility, has a "required" mimimum distribution (ask someone in their 70s-80s how that worked out during the lost decade), offers you very little control, limited investment options, etc.

I'd suggest you look into magazines devoted to hospitality.We don't discus them much here because that is a business that uses real estate more than it deals in real estate.

According to an article that has been published in the Florida Realtor magazine, there is a Florida law that will become effective on July 1 that requires an owner or landlord to approve or deny a tenant application from any active service member.

That's the nature of the world.30 years ago you probably would have been pretty sure that Playboy magazine and landline telephones would be relevant in 30 years.  20 years ago, you probably would have been pretty sure that physical maps would be relevant in 20 years.  10 years ago, you probably would have been pretty sure that DVD technology would have been relevant in 10 years.Things can change quickly, and if you only want to pursue ideas that will be relevant for 20-30 years, you're likely going to be disappointed.
