It did sound from him like groups are pushing to change that law in WI, but guessing that some hotel lobby group pushed for that to try to encourage people wanting a pool to have to stay at a larger hotel.

There was no opposition fight in any of the jurisdictions while 100% of the lobbying against was unified and headed primarily by neighborhood associations. 

@Brie Schmidt, agree it takes mere seconds, but I am surprised Real estate association has not lobbied to have this ********** law changed/repelled.  

Their latest proposed legislation was quite harmful to STR owners and most management companies, so there was much criticism from several local groups but AirBnB and Expedia are also lobbying heavily against it.
