Aside from asking if they can do some work, when you decide on the scope of work draw up a clear contract that includes milestone payments for hitting certain benchmarks in the project by certain dates.

Third, if it takes you 10 years to get $13k/month, you're in the wrong market...and you're doing it wrong.What you need to do is define a more detailed set of financial goals, that involve specific income to pay off your total personal debt (profits) and your monthly bills (cash flow), and break them down to a series of "measurable milestones".

As far as paying the contractor’s, I would use an escrow account that funds can be released at milestones laid out in the contract.When it comes to contracts, it’s as simple as agreeing on schedules and such and have it written up my an attorney.
