Thankfully, that tenant DID clean the room minus vacuuming his carpet which I ended up doing myself, he didn't have any animals either so NDB for me.I am currently having an issue with another tenant who pays on-time to early every month but is a hoarder (in his room of a shared living situation) that has caused a fruit fly infestation (for the whole house) and fire hazard (for his room at least).

My question is- should I just open a repair request with builder and get those areas caulked or do I need to get the detail pest inspection done for possible structural ant infestation?

The tenant just complained that the bedbugs are back and is insisting that he is not the source, but that the building has an infestation problem.Is a landlord liable for bedbug problems in a multi-unit (i.e. more than 4 apartments) building?

I guess if the furniture was infested I can see why she moved.. and left stuff.. call her give her chance to show up to sign off , if that doesn't happen, change locks, post on door locks changed due to pest control service and proceed with that and eviction.Or just plain change the locks and be done with it.. she's not coming back just send out security deposit statement to her address she left from, post office will forward.Have pest control guy come and give you written statement that furniture and belongings are infested and should be disposed of..take photo's of inside.
