I fully agree with you on the land; we're not wanting to go into the suburbs but rather exchange 15 acres of ag land for 2-5 acres of wooded land. (35 acres with the rental home included) All this acreage adds up to a lot of work in fence repairs, keeping ag status current with cattle, cleaning up trees that have been dying in this long drought, picking up trash that blows from the road, weed control, etc.

Not quite the same as real estate but works on a lot of the same principals ironically, and the ROI there would blow your mind (3% a month, so like buying a website for $10k would generate you $300 a month income). 

Luckily landlord advocated against it but it was touch and go at annual meetings.

I found this out completely by luck when I discovered our 4 year old Lennox A.C. unit was blowing hot air.

I am an advocate for investing out of state as I feel here in NY the prices just make no sense.  

It sounds like you’re advocating for both.

Best case is that they just upgraded it and plan on leaving it...... if so, get that in writing.......but still be pissed and let them know this will not be tolerated again.So I would want some more info before I freak out too bad....If they are basically blowing you off and ignoring you, then I would move forward with legal action by consulting a lawyer about moving forward with an eviction...and be sure to include the cost of a new stove in the deposit
