You don't control how property taxes increase so you can expect they will stay high in TX and even go higher.Dallas neighborhoods can be pretty rough so be careful.Depending on what you want to do I have a 4/2 with pool in Phoenix near Grand Canyon Univ under contract.

I'm not even sure if really tall buildings can get above it, so your only answer would be up in the mountains... park city is only about a 15 minute drive through the canyon, lots of nice real estate there... anywhere in the valley is where the air gets trapped in and then contaminated, so your only bet is going into the mountains.
