I finally spoke directly to the code enforcement officer (Ontario CA), and apparently it was a vacate order, rather than an eviction order, which is legally completely different from eviction, which was a good learning point for me. 

While the Regi is tenant friendly (though perhaps not to the point of Ontario and Nova Scotia), other jurisdictions, such as NB, are more balanced.

I am in Southern Ontario, have few rental properties already and want to buy few more; my mortgage advisor said they are not able to finance any more; because my income does not support buying rental properties. 

In Ontario, we have a Land Titles Registry which is administered and guaranteed by the provincial government.

I am looking to hire a PM company to handle the day to day on my behalf as I am terrified of the "professional tenants" that have plagued the Ontario, Canada rental market.  

I am from Toronto, Ontario and a complete newbie to real estate investing.

There's only one lender in Ontario that would do it but under extreme exceptions and that's Manulife, the rest of the big lenders just won't do it, you may have to go to a B lender.  

I'm looking to invest in the market in SW Ontario - Pref. a student property as invest and hold.
