I am far from an expert in this, but I've noticed many of the HML guys in CA have a Bureau of Real Estate RE Broker license # on their business cards, and/or a CFL #, and not a NMLS number.

Have you tried calling a credit bureau and explaining the situation to them?

I am not pulling a score from any bureau at this point .  

I believe Dion was referring to Government Sponsored Enterprises (like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) and how their loan guidelines might differ from those of a portfolio lender. 

It's also in the NEZ ( neighborhood enterprise zone ) which gives some tax relief on improvements made to the property.

In my opinion most sellers are not going to take the time to register your account with the bureau.

FICO is not a credit bureau, but also has its own credit score formula (and claims to be the most widely used), and uses the info found in the credit reports from the three bureaus.
