I am far from an expert in this, but I've noticed many of the HML guys in CA have a Bureau of Real Estate RE Broker license # on their business cards, and/or a CFL #, and not a NMLS number.

FICO is not a credit bureau, but also has its own credit score formula (and claims to be the most widely used), and uses the info found in the credit reports from the three bureaus.
