I don’t know if an option is different than a purchase contract, I doubt it, but a purchase agreement in FL is absolutely “transferable” unless there is language specifically prohibiting it.in fact the standard FARBAR has 3 choices under the “assignabity” section. 1) can not be assigned2) can be assigned but buyer is still liable for contract terms/penalties. 3) Can be assigned, buyer is off the hookIf None of the 3 choices are checked off, by law it defaults to #2.Hanging your hat on the theory that some guru “developed contracts that are good in Most states” and “the guru said....” is both naive and foolish.
