Many would say the HELOC is a better option since you are not taking money from an investment vehicle that would otherwise be earning a profit on those investments (one would hope).

While Austins hot market does make it pretty hard to lock down a private lease a few months in advance, it's not impossible; she actually has a client moving in to a property in a desirable area today who were accepted in the beginning of March.

While dealing with multiple mortgages and multiple properties, this may seem a bit extreme but if you are doing what needs to be done rather than spending your rental and other income as soon as you get it - this suggestion is not impossible to live up too.Multiple evictions may not seem unlikely in a downed market.
