Assigning notes as collateral for another note is creating a bond in some instances so you need to meet SEC requirements and are the investors "qualified investors" or immediate family?

I no longer hold stocks, bonds or mutual funds as I prefer to hold real estate and silver.

Notes are the same thing as "bonds", so if you do a little reading about bonds and get your head around how the price of a bond and the interest rate are related, you'll understand notes.If its performing, you can't foreclose.

My dad and I had quite a discussion over it, in the early 1970's, when he inherited $150K, decided to invest in bonds and tax free municipals, rather than real estate as he thought he'll do better with cash assets and cash flow.

Investing in real estate is categorically different than investing in stocks/bonds and other customary financial planning tools.It is buying a small business.

All of my tenants know if they are ten days late and have not got the ok from me that I will file for eviction.I have also owned a bail bonding company. 

@Bret Emry  he is in Washington... not Oregon... from what I heard this is correct this law has been changed.. just call the contractors board.. they will tell you.I can 100% tell you though in Oregon to buy and fix and flip a home EVEN ONE  a year you need a DEVELOPERS license a bond and insurance..

In the last few years they have floated two school bonds worth $3 BILLION dollars.

Latex simply can't bond to it, and latex primers don't do much.
