I am considering just trying to rent the place myself- take better photos, post some "FOR RENT" signs around the neighborhood.

Also many travel nurses use the AirBnB platform, so you may want to do the same research there for 30 day minimum stays.The next step, a bit more advance, is calling and talking with agencies/hospitals around platforms they post their Travel RN contracts.

So thats the other issue you will have on BP.. and to be fair to you the person posting did not state they were looking for a Broker / Lender relationship they made it sound like they were the borrower when in fact it looks like they were not. 

Posting on BP and sharing real estate information with your sphere of influence (and social media) is a great way to get started.
