We've had a few co-sponsors come from there (to help them get their feet wet), because we can trust that they have a baseline knowledge. 

Perhaps one with strong real estate knowledge, but also one who can advise my wife and I on a variety of other topics, including but not limited to her 401k, stock investments, college funds/trust funds for our 5 children, etc?

I want to do the fix and hold strategy (BRRRR) and looking to gain knowledge and wisdom from those who use this method in the SF market or even fix and flippers.

She has a ton of knowledge on this strategy. 

In fact, sometimes, it's a dangerous thing to have money but no knowledge and then you jump in and lose it all.

get your knowledge up about any and everything in real estate live at home as long as you can dont buy dumb ****  work on your credit asap and save that cash if you take this seriously and live way below your means you can have a great portfolio by 30 best of luck to you

A lot of forum members are very knowledgeable in their respective fields related to real estate investing, whether that is real estate sales, wholesaling, flipping, rentals, lending, self-directed IRA and Solo 401k investing, or tax and legal guidance.The site has quite a few tools that can be helpful for new members.
