In regards to the original question, I think just from listening to the variety of ppl interviewed on the BP Podcasts, it proves that its possible to acquire "skillsets" from the use of partnerships.

A lot of FSBOs are trying to sell privately because they can't afford to pay an agent, as @Casey Carroll pointed out, that is an ideal lead for a lease option (or any type of payment take over deal like sub2, installment sale, wrap, etc.)I've always got them by calling and having a short interview over the phone to see if they qualify for me to look at their house.

If you want to build wealth in RE, then read this site, interview a couple of referred Realtors who invest themselves, get a game plan, and go for it!
