Now, if you see damages, you can address that, but a door knob hole in the wall doesn't give sufficient grounds to terminate their right to lease, fix it and charge them, simple.Landlords are not parents, at least with adult tenants.

There was damage to either one of their vehicles an SUV and a Semi Truck, since my car was plastic and they had solid steel bumpers on both of them.

If the breach is remediable by payment of rent, the cost of repairs, damages or any other amount due to the landlord pursuant to the rental agreement, the landlord may give the tenant fourteen (14) days to remedy the breach.

They took the landlord to court for numerous housing violations that the management would not cure (vermin, water damage from the vacant upstairs, accumulated trash from a restaurant in the building), it was pretty gross stuff.

I would only charge a tenant if there was actual damages beyond normal wear and tear like crayon/drawings on the walls, holes, big scruffs, etc.
