You seem to really understand the position I am in with trying to find the right locations within SA. 

From what I understand I could refinance and take out 70% of the new refinanced amount, is that correct?  

I am a business owner and keeps looking for financing all the time and I totally understand her challenge.

I understand the need for cash flow and based on what your have said, it wouldn't be hard to get more.

I understand the neighborhoods and the rental market. 

I'm really interested in better understanding the way these relationships work and disfunction.

If you insisted on having the same attorney do everything, you'd at least want to get a clear understanding of who the attorney was going to represent (if anyone) in the unfortunate event that crap hit the fan.

This rule does not apply to Chinese citizens, so they can buy multiple units.From what I understand from some friends (US Citizens) who have sold their properties overseas, there is no 'need' to declare overseas assets now.  

So I was a little too understanding translating the time line into contractor time, which is 2x longer than normal people time.The owner of X, had mentioned they'd be done around Christmas.
