Most banks with branches seem to be 100% independent....ie Citibank Mexico is almost totally separate from Citibank New York...maybe just name is the same.FYI when I use specific bank names sometimes it is a more general concept than the rules and regs of that specific bank.There are some 100% online banks now like Ally, Marcus from Goldman Sachs, Chime....not sure if those allow international accounts or not.
