I hope I'm wrong about the residential side but I just don't see moving as a viable option for your average American, at least in the short term. 

The fact of the matter is that more than 75% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck. 

Some include: much better amenities, ability to move fairly quickly, usually better location leading to less or even no transportation costs (another 1/3 of most Americans budgets), lower net out of pocket so you have more to invest (assuming your duplex does not pay for itself completely). 

They also make better renters than students.I would target 27705, 27707 or anywhere near American Tobacco.  

Also to get an idea of how these pump and dump due diligence or up front lender fee's companies operate simply watch the American Greed episode on  "Remington financial" 

He also has a podcast called Refresh Your Wealth, talking about tax strategies, current events (current tax bill), etc to help you live and achieve the American Dream.  

The only reason I've been looking more into the american market is because I've heard repeatedly that it's a lot easier to get into the US, as there's more tools available, etc.  

However I do have approx. 250K investments, which I am intended to use and multiply and achieve my American dream.

Most people are to busy watching American Idol and coverage of Michael Jackson's death, than to actually take initiative and go out and improve their lives.While I don't mind giving out advice, I'm not as concerned as I use to be about shooting myself in the foot.

I read posts on REI and gurus teachings and very few teach the importance of having your own finances in order.Many of you are average americans.
