Where do people in a hurry, store a $50,000 painting, $20,000 oriental rug, $15,000 vase, etc.?

There are opportunities, but due to bureaucracy, the slow pace of courts regarding evictions, laws that protects tenants too much, and the general feeling that the government can pull the rug under your feet at any moment, one has to be careful.The problem with Spain is not about people's mindset, or lack of skills.. it is more about months that may become years (incredibly slow), and lack of confidence in courts or justice in general.

I got rid of my shag trellis rug not because it went out of trend but because I discovered what people who got shag carpets in the 70s discovered--it's impossible to really deep clean!

You'll have fixed monthly expenses, no sure guarantee of revenue, and the rug can be pulled out from under you by the property owner. 

Don't forget rugs, nightstands, beds, chairs, tables, etc....
