With the new moratoriums on evictions and politicians making up rules as they go we can’t afford to take chances like we used to and it is ultimately the marginal tenants that will suffer finding housing.  

Meaning, the market supports it; all you need to do is successfully deal with crazy rent controlled tenants, strict planning/building codes, archaic condo conversions, city politicians that cater to tenants and hate developers and investors, etc., etc. ;~)  It's like hunting for elephants here- every deal is long, complicated and arduous.

The activists and politicians in my area keep making new rules for landlords but are disinclined to even speak to us. 

Today there is no point trying to be in complete control; politicians have demonstrated there is no such thing.

Makes it double hurt since each AirBnB = oneless hotel room with big room taxes.Which confuses me since AOC said in her best fake drawl: "We don't need no Amazon jobs, y'all".Sad thing is these politicians really think they are smarter (at least more so than the people that elect them).

Once again, not from a perspective of what our political beliefs are, but how the decisions of the politicians will affect the business market.
