I use intuit online payroll for 1099s and I believe it's like $5/1099 + some time/money to fill out each form and print and mail.

I do not have the data but I intuitively believe that if we did not have high property taxes the Texas average home prices in metro areas would be far closer to California's average home prices.

I have all my tenants using this method, though I preferred Intuit Payment Network (recently discontinued, but very similar services)Another popular method is using Chase Bank's Quickpay services which doesn't cost anything, you just have to have a Chase account.
