I grew up in the construction industry (father owned a construction company, and brother is still operating this company today).

I first learned about real estate at the age of 9 years old from a childhood friend on mine father.

There has been an empty lot, next to my father in law’s house that has been in distressed for years.

My father used to take us up there just about every other weekend over the summer when I was 10-12 years old.  

I did deed research and found that it has a affidavit of heirency (was inherited by child of deceased father) and a tax lien contract (county tax lien was sold to a tax lien loan company and the owner now has a payment contract with the loan company).Would appreciate any insights from your experience of such deals.My main question is, how might I go about having an LLC or trust purchase the the tax lien contract  so that the property remains encumbered after the property is deeded to my land trust. 

Something my father taught me about new construction is the logical design of their build to serve a specific purpose, such as buy/hold apartments. 

My father in law and I worked out a deal between us to allow me to buy a piece of land from him.

@Ryan Weddle my father is a realtor down there and he's found all of them for me. 

My father is a real estate atty in the area, and he seems to think it is too big for someone like me to fix up.
