As a General Contractor myself here in east central Texas, I can tell you that connecting with local GCs via Facebook groups can be incredibly helpful.

There is an unfinished 3rd unit above the garage that is connected by a hallway to the 2nd unit upstairs.

BP is a great resource for connecting with lenders. 

There is a lender finder that you can use to get connected with a few.  

It helps me build connections with other investors, and it helps me expand my network of capital partners.
