Make sure the estimates are very detailed (scope, SF, $/sf, schedule, etc) to ensure that there is a clear dilation between contract work and change orders.

Install cameras around the parameter of the property today; post no trespass signs; change your for rent listing. 

Put an end date to this as well in case the closing date pushes out which could change things.

It's not a perfect solution, but for us, we don't change the availability of a unit until we have a signed contract.

We made some big changes coming to Movement Mortgage early this year and we are incredibly grateful to be thriving and loving it here at Movement.

We need a lobbyist to address and push for change.

I would also be careful talking to property managers - they may have no problem telling about "other" buildings, but change of ownership in their own building is a threat to their livelihood.
