If we did add some additional structure to move into and landed on a favorable sale price it could mean we live rent free or for very little (not accounting for how you'd finance the cost of building the ADU).I don't really have anyone to bounce ideas off of so I am using this forum to lean into for advice on the topic.

If it was a deal that was larger than I am used to purchasing or included more units than I normally buy I would want to personally see it, but if they are the same type of properties that I have regularly been looking at and purchasing I would say viewing may not be the most important aspect.

Each Strategy is a BUSINESS Strategy.In the case of my Benevolent strategy of helping needy tenants, I am using the "Customer first" Business Strategy.This may work for me as my properties are in NYC in Class B or better neighborhoods.But it may not be YOUR strategy because your Customers maybe different than mine, and in fact, they are.I do question the strategy of working a job as a Landlord and not enjoying it.
