There isn't much of value inside but there is a set of china that could bring some money.

The tax has more to do with money exiting Asia (China / Hong Kong predominately) looking for a safe place to live and absentee owners.

I can't predict the macroeconomic forces such as China slowdown, Britain collapse, Greece bankruptcy or mortgage rate spike.

On my new units, I am installed hardwood floors, that the renters see the value in them and I can get more rent.Cabinets - I use the flat packed plywood and hardwood cabinets from China.  

And yes, likewise with the the Australian dollar...right now we are seeing a big influx of land/ property investors from China. 

We recently moved to Chicago after living 9 years in China, most of our investors that like to invest to Tax Liens, Tax Deeds & Redeemable Deeds are Chinese, how foreigner or foreigner company can buy or take part on auctions for Tax Liens, Tax Deeds & Redeemable Deeds, do they need to register USA company and have USA EIN number (also known as "Federal Tax Identification Number" or they can open representative office of their foreigner company here in USA ?

He also import his own material from China and can use that in his advantage to offer lower cost than anyone else
