I obviously have no way of verifying whether you own the asset or not, but find it odd that you'd throw away years of attempts at building your reputation and leave BiggerPockets rather than simply shut Melanie up by stating that you own the thing. 

I would assume any halfway intelligent human being would understand we mean "shut and lock" but maybe I assume too much. 

Two years ago I had an open-and-shut case of negligence against a CPA.

Water is shut off and they are removing the electrical meter.

Your case is very unique and me personally would want something locked in before we go into another shut down which I see happening.
