If you were to have a sheriff sale against your personal property due to a dispute with a creditor, is there a way to stop or postpone the sheriff sale to either set up payment plan or dispute the claim?

If the dollar amount of the tax is super high, some entities, particularly in more populated counties will postpone the sale to sale the transfer tax to avoid paying twice.  

Either the property comes under contract or in the event of a HUD home, the property will get postponed several times before it is open to investor and then it gets pulled from the site.When I inquired of one of the realtors that has been very responsive and accommodating re: the payment of his fees, he stated that the "seller" pays his fees.

The house was also facing sheriff's sale and we had to file some court documents and get it postponed.  

Once they postpone it 3+ times or stop communicating with me then I rush to the eviction lawyer.

Hello Guys,Do you suggest an investor with $ 900k in cash to buy multiple properties and rent them out in this market (Central Florida) or you would suggest keeping the cash and postpone buying them until the housing market crashes in a year or two?

If we would like to get on the property WITHOUT 24 hours notice we ASK nicely, and we give our tenants full disclosure that they can POSTPONE the visit if they find it inconvenient. 

Otherwise they are running the risk of getting fined by the city and/or people taking it lightly and starting to keep junk or non-working items on their premises and eventually turning the park into a car junk yard.With that said, i don't think any reasonable manager  would refuse a request to postpone this by a couple of weeks (if that's what we are talking about).

We met with the owner the day after it was supposed to be auctioned off (got postponed) and we're going to be listing on the market.
