Currently, I own a property in Virginia while living in California, balancing active duty life with my passion for real estate investing.I'm focused on wholesaling real estate right now, with plans to eventually explore buy-and-hold strategies as I grow.

I plan to live in the house. 

I figured FHA was out because of the live-in-it requirement. 

I just bought a duplex on 3rd Ave on the Columbus side of Grandview and am planning on living in one side and renting out the other.  

@Ryan Brown if the daughter no longer lives with him how is he entitled to a two bedroom on Section 8? 

But, i'm currently living in my first home (townhouse).

Personally, I would focus more on the long-term cash flow of the property rather than worry about your parents living standard.
