I'd rather spend my 137k in a place that is a proven tourist destination with existing comparable for rentals and resales, that I can easily access when I want to do it and that isn't in an isolated place.

I find that very wasteful.On the other hand, I can isolate that top $10K off of my mortgage and because I'm putting all of my income toward it (and not paying interest on the rest of the mortgage while I do it) it costs me around $1000 in interest and takes less than a year.

@Jenniffer Nosenko start by isolating where you want to invest and then spending 30 days analyzing what you are seeing (I'd suggest by looking at 5 deals a day).

Also, if these are just minor floor defects in isolated places, throwing a runner or area rug over that area might alleviate the issue as well.

The main health issue is typically direct contact with the PCBs so it may be feasible to cap or isolate the contaminated areas and reduce exposure to occupants.

In trying to be “understanding” I’ve been enabling her and not enforcing late fees to boot… sent a “reset” for May and enforcing lease but it is a c class area so as an earlier poster said… May not be isolated to class of tenant but of multiple units this is the only tenant where this is an issue.
