I had an opportunity recently to get to know a Russian woman who studied to be a lawyer in Russia.

I seem to be pretty good at foreign languages(Spanish, Russian, English, Ukranian, German) which is how I turned out to be very useful here in Málaga.

In the last couple weeks I've made offers on everything from a small condo in PS (per our other thread) to a triplex to a russian river house to a ski condo.

Then the Saudis and Russians got into a supply tantrum followed by COVID collapsing global energy demand resulting in our current market.

I think seeing residential real estate, especially handyman fixer-upper properties, as an investment is very different when you come from certain immigrant cultures that have histories of doing this: as my wife is Russian and I am Greek with a significant personal and family history in this work, it wasn't so difficult.But in general, when I am convinced that something is worthwhile and I think my wife should look at it, I give her a manageable amount of material and ask her to look at it.

I have that covered, my wife's family has some hardcore Russian Orthodox members.

I also speak Russian. 

Also we have a very large Russian population here in PDX.. great painters.I was kidding about the rent..
