Sounds like a challenging situation all around I would  not cancel the deal, but if he dies and it goes to the estate and probate you may want to start looking for something else just in case...Best of luck. ...

One of the REPS cases (I forget which off hand) they were basically like...petitioner states they spent 8 hours on X date supervising painters at the property and we find it highly unlikely that anyone would sit and watch paint dry for 8 hours. 

Specifically, short-term rentals can help you get REPS status.

Keep me on your list, just in case we can time it with a meet up.  

Maybe you should liquidate a portion of your portfolio just in case.

It may be that they are underwriting the property at a significantly different valuation than what you are using or that they feel that you or the deal is excessively risky.Great advice here, and a good HML will have an account rep or someone to communicate with you through the process so that you know.
