Post: Social Media in Detroit. Tips/Advice

Hey guys, I'm in the midst of starting my own social media marketing company and was curious if anyone in the Metro Detroit area would be interested in meeting up for coffee (on me) and discussing how social media could help grow your real estate business (note: this is not a sales pitch. Just looking to network and help as many people as possible before I launch, and maybe learn a thing or two from you all). If anyone is interested, just shoot me a message. Peace!

Welcome @Brandon Sprinkle! I was born and raised in Knoxville myself. Looking forward to making it back there in the near future.

@Stephen Morris Hey Stephen, just curious as to what areas/neighborhoods of Detroit you do business in. I'm just arrived here a month ago and I'm trying to learn the area quickly.

Welcome, Ethan. Fellow UTK grad here. What type of investing are you thinking about? Buy and hold/fix and flip?

I agree with everything that has been said about Charlotte. I spent some time there a few years ago and was in love with the area. My brother is living there now and loves it for all the reasons already mentioned, and like Asheville, it is exploding with growth. Have you looked in Knoxville or Chattanooga? They are obviously smaller cities. Both are growing rapidly. Ton of land. Great schools, especially Knoxville (which is where I grew up so this may be a bit biased). I have friends working in hospitals all around Knoxville and they couldn't be happier where they are at.

What's up BP? My name is Zack and I'm completely new to the world of real estate. I'm a former college athlete and I've spent most of the last 6 years traveling and living as cheaply as possible. Just started teaching in charter schools throughout Detroit and I've realized that if I want to continue my current lifestyle or being able to jump on a plane at a moments notice, I may need to start making some passive income.

I've worked with a startup in San Diego and I've coached American football in Knoxville, TN and Grenoble, France. I've lived in several other cities for short stints and just moved to Detroit less than 2 months ago. Fast forward to my current obsession with the BP podcasts and my ever growing obsession with reading (I consider myself a writer more than anything), and I'm reading to jump into real estate. And when I say jump in, I mean building relationships, connecting, and continuously learning through BP. For the short-term, I'm interested in multi-family properties (and a good book).

Looking forward to learning from everyone here!

Peace and love
