Ok thanks guys.  I'll get in touch with Deren Huang and look into the city zoning.  And thanks @Cain Wright for the BA locations.

Hi all,

What is a good way to find all areas of town that have duplexes?  I'm looking in Tulsa and Broken Arrow and am starting a list of every location I come across with a duplex.  I want to get a bigger list and then go drive them all to get a feel for the areas and see which ones I'd be willing to buy in.

Any tips?  I don't mind putting in the work I'm just looking for ideas.  I plan on househacking a duplex by summer time and want to make sure I'm comfortable with the location.

Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

@John Kunick I'll take you up on the help, would love to run some things by someone with experience so I can prevent as much of the "learning the hard way" as I can.

Edit - What did I do wrong with tagging someone? Do you need to be a pro/plus member to do so?

Hello all!

My name is Zach Savage, I'm from Broken Arrow, OK and looking to get into real estate investing.  I graduated from college a year and a half ago in Accounting and am working on getting my CPA by next fall.  I'm fresh into the real estate environment with 0 physical experience as of yet but a lot of research and studying.  It has become a passion of mine and I just can't wait to dive in.  I'm constantly researching different strategies and running numbers and listening to the BP podcasts.

My short-term plan and way of entry is to house hack a duplex. Hope to close on one within the next 5-6 months and get the ball rolling.  Long term plan is to build a portfolio of buy and holds. (although that could change)

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Post: How I walked away from my first deal with $67,899.45; thanks BP!
